Remarks & Notes |
B&P's Warren Local returns to the yard with five cars from United Refining. The short train is crossing the Allegheny River and Pennsylvania Ave simultaneously. In the lead is BPRR GP40 302, at the time the last surviving unit painted for the Allegheny Railroad. 302 was running in home territory in more ways than one. This trackage was operated by the Allegheny before it was absorbed by Genesee & Wyoming, Inc. The right of way is former PRR, later operated by Penn Central and Conrail...both former owners of this GP40.
