The Wabuska Turn rumbles across the Carson River near Churchill, Nevada as it makes its way down the Mina Branch. The trees that hold the colors of fall block the view of near-by Fort Churchill, a former Army Fort turned state historical site that served the region from 1860-69. Of railroad interest this location is near the 'northern' junction with the SP narrow gauge (ex-Carson and Colorado) to Mound House, Nevada. Faded but still proudly scarlet and grey GP60 1068, ex-SSW 9669, leads the charge this day.
