A Metro-North non-revenue also commonly referred to as a deadhead, is running as train 5590 from Stamford to New Haven, as it bypasses West Haven Station on track 2 on Saturday night November 18, 2023. The maxi-bomb is going to New Haven Yard for fuel as the servicing facilities in Stamford were temporarily out of service. Catching a diesel set on one of the middle tracks doesn't happen often. When they do show up as revenue trains, eastbounds make their stops on track 4 coming from Grand Central or westbounds on track 3 from New Haven.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
