Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe FP45 5992 (ex-5942, nee-102), teamed with FP45s 5991 and 5998, is on the point of a 14-car Analysts' Special climbing Cajon Pass as the train heads from San Diego to Bakersfield. The train is climbing the original mainline, Track 1, normally used for downhill movements (due to a slightly steeper grade). Meanwhile, in the distance on Track 2, as two diesel helper set (an SD45 and a GP35) can be seen drifting downgrade back to San Bernardino after assisting an eastbound freight up to Summit.
