Red And White All Year 'Round For Christmas. On December 15, 2019, Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis TRAA GP38-3 2010 (née-AGS 2812, GP38, EMD, 3/1970) and 2006 (née-DRGW 3083, GP40, EMD, 10/1969) led the Polar Express Train under the Eads Bridge as it approached the Martin Luther King Junior Bridge in downtown St. Louis, Missouri with the Eero Saarinen designed Gateway Arch in the background after the nominal sunset time on a snowy day. Ownership of the TRRA is divided amongst CSX, NS, UP, CN, and BNSF, and it serves as freight switching operation between all of these carriers and CPKC. The annual Polar Express trains are a rare opportunity for the public to ride these rails, with trains departing from St. Louis Union Station throughout the season.
