Looks Like A Toy Train But It's Real. "Every year since 2009 (except for 2020), special trains have operated on the first two weekends of December in northern New Jersey and southern New York to collect donated toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation" explains Operation Toy Train's website about the organization's mission to travel across New York and New Jersey during the holiday season. On Saturday, December 10, 2022, New York, Susquehanna, and Western Railway 3016 (SD33ECO, EMD) led across the Ramapo River in Oakland, New Jersey on that year's 3rd of 4 days to collect donations, an effort supported by the work of a number of volunteers and organizations. The train featured a number of pieces of equipment making their debut due to the partnerships with the Dining Car Society and the Port Jervis Transportation History Center along with the traditional power supplied by the host railroad.
