Yellow Unit Hijinks. On December 14, 2014, the railfan community gathered trackside on a cloudy day on the CSX River Sub to await the arrival of Norfolk Southern 1069 (SD70ACe, Virginian Heritage) on K038. This was the Virginian's second trip down the line, and at the time it seemed like this kind of thing might happen more often, but NS heritage units visiting would remain a rare occurrence. In this shot, coming through Iona Island with the Bear Mountain Bridge in the background, a roll of toilet paper had been deployed over the side, and in various other shots in this area, the nose door was open and other "abnormalities" occurred but by Haverstraw it seemed to clear up for the remainder of the trip.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
