On the late evening of December 6th, 2023 Amtrak ACS-64 629, with disabled Acela train 2155 in tow, pauses for an unusual recrew at Stamford station on Metro-North Railroad's New Haven Line. 2155 suffered mechanical issues west of Kingston, Rhode Island on the Northeast Corridor, preventing it from continuing its trip to Washington DC. An equipment repositioning move originally recovered the disabled trainset and brought it to New Haven, where 629 was added for the rest of the journey to New York.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
