Santa On Santa Train. The addition of Watauga Valley Railroad Historical Society and Museum's Clinchfield Railroad 100 to hold the markers on CSX's The Santa Train was a sight to behold on November 23, 2019. The usual shot in Dante, Virginia of the Union Baptist Church is with the power passing by, but given the rare home rails visitor, after the traditional shot and some pics of the crowd, sticking around for the departure was in order. After a two-year hiatus, the train returned for both 2022 and 2023, and one can only hope for the foreseeable future.
