| 2 days before Christmas, also known as “Christmas Eve Eve”, the recognizable blast of an SD70ACE’s horn can be heard throughout the countryside of Virginia’s Piedmont. Norfolk Southern Train 289 works its way through Marshall past the old Purina Foods tower. The train will be briefly holding up traffic along Virginia State Route 55 which follows the old Southern Railway Branch line as it meanders through the countryside. |
