Under the name "NostalChic Class", the Gornergrat Railway has launched a new, exclusive offer to mark its 125th anniversary. Every Wednesday, the Bhe 2/4 # 3021 railcar travels from Zermatt to the Gornergrat with a corresponding "supporting program" if there are enough registrations (at least 10 people). This is advertised as follows: The train ride up the Gornergrat has never been so luxurious. Experience the Gornergrat in an exclusive way: in this nostalgic railcar with homely details and a cosy ambience, you have a guaranteed window seat and can enjoy the breathtaking view of the Matterhorn. An experienced guide with local knowledge will guide you through the day trip and will enthral you with exciting stories about the Gornergrat Railway. Exquisite regional specialities and matching wines will accompany you on your trip. A stopover for unique photos and a souvenir complete the very special Zermatt experience. Included is a four-course menu with wine accompaniment at Riffelhaus 1853 in Riffelberg. The whole trip is 6 hours. Cogwheel railcar Bhe 2/4 # 3021, built in 1961 by SLM and BBC, is running down between Gornergrat and Rotenboden, with from left Dom (4545 meter, highest mountain inside Switzerland), Täschhorn (4490 meter) and Alphubel (4206 meter).
