Snowy Night On The Erie. A day long snowfall on December 29, 2012 blanketed the northeast. At the yard in Port Jervis, New York, former Erie Railroad EMD E8 833 sits on the Erie Turntable. After sitting for several years, not 18 months later the locomotive would be transported to Spencer, North Carolina for the Streamliners At Spencer event at the North Carolina Museum Of Transportation. After returning, it would sit for another half decade before being brought to SMS Lines in Logan Township, New Jersey, where it resides today, safe but with an uncertain future.
Photos of North America's favorite First Generation locomotives. EMD, ALCO, Baldwin; essentially anything that represents the OG wide cab diesel locomotive
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
