Mini MARTA.
A Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) Green Line train led by CQ311 car 207 (Hitachi, 1984-1988) is seen at Bankhead Station. The station is unique in the MARTA system in two ways: it is the only station that is served solely by the Green Line; and it is the shortest station in the system, being long enough for only two-car trains. The line to Bankhead is a stub of a longer planned line, which would have brought MARTA Rail into the West Highlands neighborhood of Atlanta. The station is scheduled to be lengthened to 6 cars by 2025, in order to accommodate increased ridership and the arrival of the CQ400 cars, which will be in 4-car sets rather than married pairs like previous rolling stock.
