Remarks & Notes
Take The Train To The Playoffs. On January 8, 2012, the New York Giants defeated the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Wild Card Game, the first playoff game in the new MetLife Stadium. NJ Transit Meadowlands Service Game Day Service transported a significant portion of the crowd by rail on the Meadowland Rail Line, a spur off of the Pascack Valley Line that opened in 2009. NJTR 4128 (F40PH-2) sits at the 3-track 2-platform station in between runs with a train of single-level Comet cars. In the years since, the standard consist for game days has changed to generally be an ALP45-DP with multi-level cars, and while this EMD cowl unit still operates today, it is for the Grand Canyon Railway.
