| Once the BNSF Merger took over, the railroad scrambled to find power to run trains. It was a railfan's paradise to see some of the kit bash consist the railroad put together. Here the St. Paul priority has basically a small kicker unit helping out this absolutely clean SD40. Not sure who thought a GP9 would do much for help, but probably looked good on paper. Giving their all leaving East Dubuque on the Aurora Sub. In 2020, the lead unit is still decent whiteface paint as BNSF #1920. Scanned Slide. |
