On a sunny morning of January 17, 2024, there were switch issues on the west leg of the Devon wye. Metro-North train 1908 took the east leg which turned the equipment from its usual north-facing locomotive to being on the south end and having the cab car lead to Waterbury. On its return back south, I captured train 1957 with Brookville BL20GH 110 passing in Ansonia. The train bound for Bridgeport has just departed Ansonia Station, leaving the Copper City behind. Notable buildings that can be seen from the Bridge St. overpass are Ansonia's historic 1870 opera house, the Church of the Assumption, and the remains of Farrel’s Foundry, which was once a thriving business for the New Haven Railroad.
