My great, great uncle Robert F. McKee, Sr., was a design engineer at Baldwin and he would give my father different Baldwin Locomotive Works builder's cards when my father would visit him in Collingswood, New Jersey. This 0-8-0, number 3525, was built for the Illinois Central Railroad. According to the specifications listed on the back of the builder's card, the engine and tender had a total weight of 375,000 lbs., and it had a tractive force of 51,000 lbs. This Baldwin Locomotive Works builders photo card is from the John R. Doughty collection.
