My great, great uncle Robert F. McKee, Sr., was a design engineer at Baldwin and he would give my father different Baldwin Locomotive Works builder's cards when my father would visit him in Collingswood, New Jersey. This powerful 2-10-4, number 5012, was built for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. According to the specifications listed on the back of the builder's card, the engine and tender had a total weight of 907,690 lbs., and it had a tractive force of 93,000 lbs. This Baldwin Locomotive Works builders photo card is from the John R. Doughty collection.
