The same year that this station was completed in 1892, the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad took over the Housatonic Railroad, which in turn controlled the Danbury & Norwalk Railroad. On January 3, 2024, a cab signal failure in the cab car of MTA Metro-North Railroad Train 1841 caused MNCW 230 (P32AC-DM, New Haven Tribute/Penn Central Logo) to lead, facing geographically south towards Grand Central Terminal. This is a favorite location to capture this kind of rare occurrence as the high-level platform obstructs the view of the station in the other direction, the home rails tribute unit was another bonus.
