A modest five car train is dwarfed by the Joso Bridge over the Snake River, Union Pacific's largest, in southeast Washington. It's been a dry summer and the sun is slightly muted by the smoke from another wildfire to the west. It's the Sunday of Labor Day weekend and UP's "Washy Line" has been fairly quiet but the regular train from Hinkle, Oregon has made the trip to Spokane and is returning with a handful of cars and a GP60.
