As the sun sets on a typical Oregon winter day, PNWR 1854, a 1955 former Southern Pacific SD9 and the last of the first-generation power of the railroad, makes it's final run. Once it arrives at Harbor siding, it's reached the end of the 92 day inspection period and will return to Albany, OR dead in consist. The rumors speculate that it'll be retired to the Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation for preserving.
