Remarks & Notes |
Ae 477 # 905 and # 906 of the Lokoop in multiple control pull an empty coal train from Untervaz (ciment works) to Basel on the Bözberg north ramp near Zeihen between Effingen and Hornussen. The locomotives have a special paint scheme for the Nostalgie Istanbul Orient Express (NIOE) of the Reisebüro Mittelthurgau. The locomotives were built in 1971/1968 by LEW Hennigsdorf for the Deutsche Reichsbahn of the German Democratic Republic (GDR/DDR) as 142 # 191 and 142 # 157 and bought by the Mittel-Thurgau-Bahn in 1994/1995, together with another 16. Taken over then by the Lokoop, which went bankrupt in 2002 and the locomotives came to the SBB (but were stabled in Etzwilen). Sold to the german Westfälische Almetalbahn (WAB) in 2003. |
