The Waseca Local showed up in Rochester, MN today with only 1 car; a single bulkhead flat loaded with wallboard for a building supply company on the south side of town. I first saw it at Byron, MN, about 7 miles west of Rochester, running long hood forward with the load following. It went south down the ex. Chicago Great Western spur to Tamarack Materials where it dropped the loaded flat. I caught it for this photo as it slowed to a stop back at the CPKC “shack” in downtown Rochester. Not exactly big-time railroading in Minnesota’s third largest city.
