| "Ancestor train" (Ahnenzug) ABe 8/12 # 3514 of the Rhaetian Railway is rounding the curve north of Ospizio Bernina, running as regional train 4629 from St.Moritz to Tirano. The "Allegra" railcar has a height of 3,8 meter (9.8 feet), so the snow wall on the right is more then 4 meters (13 feet) high. There is currently significantly more snow in the Bernina Pass area than the long-term average. The wind from the south has piled up large snow banks here. |
