The End
Bay Colony 1701 has remained parked in the woods in Medfield for the better part of a decade, in a state of limbo between retirement and active use. Though this line isn't officially abandoned, the Bay Colony Millis Branch hasn't seen a single carload since 2022. In December of 2023, Mass Coastal Railroad took over the Bay Colony, and while its two locomotives used on the Watuppa Branch were swiftly moved to Mass Coastal's Hyannis Shops, 1701 remained in its resting place. For the first time in years, 1701's status as a de facto abandoned locomotive may come to an end. Shoot it while you can!
A recent spike in a personal interest of the skill and work it takes to create and ultimately nail a shot in the dark using flash technology, leads to this album.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
