Remarks & Notes |
Retired Power Pack. LI 3100 (né-WM 304, FA-2, 1/1951) had already been retired, but after conversion served as a cabless HEP generator/power pack. During an Electric Railroaders Association tour of the MTA Long Island Rail Road Morris Park Facility, Richmond Hill, Queens, New York on March 28, 2009, our group was brought around the grounds to see some of the many different types of locomotives on the property. Although not all were active, it was quite a timeline of EMD, GE, and Alco. In the current era, LIRR is exclusively an EMD railroad. |
