Remarks & Notes
Rainy Delivery. Amtrak Train 56 (Vermonter) was led by AMTK 667 (ACS-64, Siemens) with AMTK 342 (ALC-42, Siemens) in tow, seen passing through Harrison, New York on the rainy afternoon of Thursday, March 28, 2024. The diesel locomotive was added in Washignton D.C. and removed with the electric motor in New Haven, Connecticut, where it will stay for a while for crew familiarization. As more ALC-42s are delivered, they are making their way across the network for crew and mechanical familiarization at more locations before entering revenue service.
