Remarks & Notes
"Snowy Phase II Over the West River"

On a snowy, but sunny March 24th, 2024, snow-covered Amtrak P42DC #130, painted in the Phase II heritage scheme, leads southbound Vermonter Train 57 over the West River in Brattleboro, Vermont on the New England Central Railroad Palmer Subdivision. The Justice Harlan Fiske Stone Bridge can be seen in distance.

The successor to the Montrealer, the Vermonter runs between St. Albans, Vt., and Washington, DC. Much of the northern part of the route runs along the Connecticut and White Rivers.
