Remarks & Notes |
The 4-4-0 steamlocomotive Eb 2/4 # 35 of SBB Historic, based in Balsthal, came to Etzwilen to pull the trains of the VES (Verein zur Erhaltung der Bahnlinie Etzwilen – Singen) on the line Etzwilen-Hemishofen-Ramsen-Rielasingen-Singen am Hohentwiel/Germany. The steamtrain from Singen/Hohentwiel to Etzwilen just left Ramsen bound for Hemishofen. The locomotive was built in 1891 by the Maschinenfabrik Kessler in Esslingen/Germany for the Jura-Simplon Railway (JS) and became later the Eb 2/4 # 5469 of the SBB. Withdrawn but stabled in 1947. 1971 to 1996 operated by the Eurovapor in Basel. From 2004 maintained and operated by the steam group Balsthal of SBB Historic. The cars are private owned but used by the VES. |
