| I wonder who was the previous owner of this unit ;) North Rail Oy Dr20 29008, a GE PH37ACai working a southbound freight on the Finnish mainline. It's been a year since Operail Finland Oy was sold to Nurminen Logistics, but only now have the Operail logos dissapeared from their locomotives.
This doesn't help much though when the locomotives are never washed and emit a plenty of black smoke. The place of the old stickers stands out rather well from the dirty appearence. To fight the smoke issue, the exhausts had an extension added earlier this year.
North Rail Oy is the only freight operator in Finland to continue cross bordee traffic to Russia as all the other rail operators ended their Russian traffic when Russia started it's invasion of Ukraine. North Rail transports goods like ammonia, fertilizers and nickel, all of them not sanctioned by the EU to Finnish ports and other facilities |
