With Just A little Paint. AMTK 909 (AEM-7, EMD/ASEA, 10/1980) was not one of the "toasters" selected for upgrade to AC electronics, but was repainted, and looks fairly respectable for a 33-year old that has been in daily service for all of its life. On May 5, 2013, it is seen with AMTK 577 (GP15D, MPI, 2004) sitting outside of the Amtrak Wilmington, Delaware shops, where diesel switchers are used to move the electric motors around the yard. In a little over 3 years in 2016, the AEM-7s would be retired by Amtrak, in 2017 by MARC, and in 2018 by SEPTA.
