Heading into the setting sun at Dawn, Norfolk Southern Railway SD70M-2 2743 and SD90MAC 7311 haul a grain train splitting the signals at milepost 339.7 on the Lafayette District of the Illinois Division, formerly known as West Tolono but now named Dawn. New signals are slated to arrive soon, and these nearly 60-year-old Wabash-era searchlight signals will be deactivated on November 7, just a little over a month after this train passed.
