Remarks & Notes |
A Mass Central local freight passes through the village of Gilbertville in Hardwick, MA on its southward journey to Palmer. This section of the railroad features a narrow right-of-way with houses built only a few yards from the rails, like this one on Bridge Street. Powering today's train are a pair of former Penn Central GP38-2s: MCER 1750 and 1751. They both wear a B&M-inspired paint scheme that looks better when viewing the side of the engines. |
