With just a smidge of light left on April 27th, 2024, Amtrak Extra 127 is seen towing Siemens "Charger" ALC-42 #342 east over the Shaws Cove Bridge in New London, Connecticut on the Shore Line section of Amtrak's Northeast Corridor. 342 was on its way to Southampton Street Shops in Boston, Massachusetts for Mechanical Department familiarization training. This would mark the first time a Charger has traveled on the New Haven-Boston (NHB) portion the Northeast Corridor.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
