Remarks & Notes |
To celebrate the 100th birthday of locomotive Ae 3/5 # 10217, team 10439 in Olten organized a trip to Fleurier in the Val de Travers. The outward journey was via Burgdorf-Bern-Kerzers-Neuchâtel and was photographed at Bollodingen between Herzogenbuchsee and Riedtwil. The locomotive was built in 1924 by SLM and SAAS for the SBB with a Sécheron drive (Westinghouse license) and has been a historic locomotive since 1983. However, it is not part of the core fleet of SBB Historic but is maintained and operated by the Team 10439 association. The locomotive pulls 4 light steel cars including a dining car: first class A # 2251 ((built1952), dining car ex self-service # 702 (built 1961), mixed first/second class AB # 3721 (1951) and second class B # 5560 (1951).
