It's a busy afternoon at Tri Rail's shop facility outside of Miami in West Little River, Florida with numerous locomotives and passenger cars in for service and maintenance. Sitting up front is one of the railroad's unique GP49PH-3 locomotives, which were built as GP39X's for the Southern Railway, rebuilt by EMD as GP49's under Norfolk Southern ownership, and then rebuilt again by Tri Rail to add head end power capability for commuter train service.
