The railroad company RailCare, owned by the large Swiss retailer Coop, has concluded a long-term rental and service agreement with European Loc Pool (ELP) in Frauenfeld for three Euro9000 locomotives from StadlerRail (Valencia). The first locomotive 2019 # 318 has been in Switzerland for a few days and could be photographed on one of its first journeys. The journey went as locomotive 38111 from Wangen bei Olten (distribution center) via Olten-Lenzburg to the distribution center in Hunzenschwil. The locomotive is traveling between Rupperswil and Lenzburg. The six-axle "Euro9000" with a weight of 120 tons is equipped for the 4 European traction current systems with an output of up to 9000 kW and additionally with 2 Caterpillar C32 diesel engines with a total output of 1900 kW. The locomotive with a maximum speed of 120 km/h was only approved for Switzerland for max. 100 km/h. |
