In reality, the train, led by former Elgin, Joliet and Eastern 654, is stopped here waiting on a crew to come and take the train back to Norfolk Southern at Toccoa, Georgia. We are at Rose Acres Feed Mill in Bowersville on the Hartwell Railroad. HRT 654 was built in January 1970 by EMD as a SD38 locomotive.
