| During the summer, so-called "fitness runs" with SBB Historic's operational historic vehicles usually take place in Erstfeld on the first Saturday of every month. The aim is to avoid downtime damage and allow staff to get used to operating the vehicles, as well as to offer something for photographers and filmers. The rides are organized by the association "Team Erstfeld Bahnhistorischer Verein am Gotthard". Here the double locomotive Ae 8/14 # 11801 built 1931 by SLM and BBC with 5514 kW and 100 km/h velocity, on its way from the depot to the yard. This locomotive is not part of the core fleet of SBB Historic, but maintained and operated by the Team Erstfeld. |
