Remarks & Notes
Barn Find. On Monday, July 15, 2024, during a visit to the The Shore Line Trolley Museum in Branford, Connecticut, I took some time to photograph some of the lesser seen cars in the collection. The museum owns a substantial amount of equipment, and in recent years there has been so much equipment restored to service that they have had to cap the annual "Museum in Motion" Parade event at 25 cars. What problem to have! With limited exception, the vast majority of the work is performed by volunteers and funded by donations. It is so crowded in the shop that a crew decided to restore Brooklyn Rapid Transit sweeper 9832 (J.G. Brill Company, 1915) in place! A missing door has been reproduced, the sweeper has been repainted, and interior work is underway.
