Remarks & Notes |
On the approximately 115-kilometre-long double-track Zurich - Chur railroad line, there is an approximately 1-kilometre-long, single-track section at Lake Walen near Tiefenwinkel between Mühlehorn and Murg. The 133-metre-long Stutz tunnel is also located here. The timetable is designed in such a way that trains can pass through the section without interfering with each other and there are currently no plans to upgrade to double track. Bombardier TRAXX F140 AC1 ocomotives 185 # 100 and # 126 of the Deutsche Bahn Cargo in multiple control pull the empty "Red Bull train" 49053 from Offenburg freight yard via Basel-Bözberg-Thalwil-Sargans to Buchs SG along the Walensee between Mühlehorn and Murg at Tiefenwinkel. The train has empty sliding doors cars of the Deutsche Bahn for the transport of Red Bull beverages in the opposite direction and is more then 500 meters long. |
