| On the approximately 115-kilometre-long double-track Zurich - Chur railroad line, there is an approximately 1-kilometre-long, single-track section at Lake Walen near Tiefenwinkel between Mühlehorn and Murg. The 133-metre-long Stutz tunnel is also located here. The timetable is designed in such a way that trains can pass through the section without interfering with each other and there are currently no plans to upgrade to double track. The about 1/2 hour late RJX (RailJet Express) 160 of the ÖBB from Budapest via Vienna to Zürich with "Taurus" locomotive 1116 # 209 in the rear is running on the single track section along the Walensee at Tiefenwinkel, between Murg and Mühlehorn. |
