The JiTong line in China´s Inner Mongolia province, famous for its last QJ steam locomotives used in regular services, has already undergone a huge transformation from a local, single tracked railway to a partly double track major railway with an electrification on the way. The famous Jingpeng pass will be replaced by a new section that will be drilled through the mountains on the most straight way towards Jingpeng station.
On this photo, DF4D class diesel locomotive 3332 rests at the Daban depot. The locomotive sports the typical passenger train livery of the JiTong railway.
