Remarks & Notes |
For a private birthday party, the "Thurgauer Zug" push-pull train of the association Historic Mittel-Thurgau-Bahn (VHMThB) with railcar ABDe 4/4 # 12, former Bodensee-Toggenburg-Bahn "Bodan" parlor car and cab car BDt # 205 ran from Arbon via Romanshorn VL-Weinfelden-Wil SG-St.Gallen-Gübsensee-St.Gallen back to Romanshorn. The train is crossing the highest railway viaduct of Switzerland, the 99 meter high Sitter viaduct of the former Bodensee-Toggenburg-Bahn (BT) between St.Gallen Haggen and Gübsensee. The 365 meter long viaduct with a main span of 120 meter was built between 1908 and 1910 for the Bodensee-Toggenburg-Bahn, and is now owned and operated by the Südostbahn (SOB). |
