The JiTong line in China´s Inner Mongolia province, famous for its last QJ steam locomotives used in regular services, has already undergone a huge transformation from a local, single tracked railway to a partly double track major railway with an electrification on the way. The famous Jingpeng pass will be replaced by a new section that will be drilled through the mountains on the most straight way towards Jingpeng station.
On this photo, DF8B #5921 and 5925 emerge from the ErDi tunnel, hauling an Eastbound freight train towards the Jingpeng pass summit. See more of my pictures at https://www.clickasnap.com/profile/Wedding13347
