Remarks & Notes
Market Exchange. Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) Type K LRV no. 9000 is seen passing the Market-Frankford Line station at Market St and S 40th St during a Friends of Philadelphia Trolleys photo charter. The tracks on 40th St are not used by subway-surface trolleys on a regular basis, but rather are part of the "diversion trackage" used when the subway tunnel into Center City is closed for maintenance. Trolleys stop here so riders can transfer to the heavy rail line for service into the city.
