Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe Railway F3A 22C was built by EMD in March 1948. Twenty-four years later, it was selected to get extensively rebuilt and was released from the Railway's Cleburne TX shops in March 1972 as ATSF CF7 2626. Seen here, after it received the larger, angled cab, this locomotive was working the Santa Fe's Hobart Yard, a few miles south of downtown Los Angeles. It was eventually sold to locomotive leasing company National Railway Equipment (as NREX 2626), which later sold it to Delta Southern (DSRR 102). DSRR eventually scrapped it.
