There is a short spur just west of the Fullerton Transportation Center, used occasionally to store Maintenance-of-Way equipment. Curiously, on this late August day, two locomotives were parked here … possibly the first power I've seen here since the early 80s, when power for locals were maintained here (although the track configuration is different now).
One of the two locomotives was BNSF ES44DC 7729, built by General Electric in April 2005, before the current Phase III (or "Wedge”) paint scheme was created in 2010. (Fullerton, California – August 23, 2024)
