On the morning of July 6th, 2024, New York New Jersey Rail's "Brooklyn crew" heads through the Brooklyn Army Terminal as they approach the entrance to 65th Street Yard in Brooklyn, New York. Leading the train is KLWX 253 (Morrison-Knudsen TE-47-4E) and NYNJ 5101 (Knoxville Locomotive Works SE10B).

Aside from floating cars between Brooklyn and Greenville, NJ, NYNJ Rail serves customers on both sides. Sims Metal Management is one customer on the Brooklyn side that requires the railroad to use its historic street-running trackage, which runs down the middle of 1st Avenue within Sunset Park.
