| An eastbound manifest heads towards Las Vegas, having just crossed the border from California into Nevada. This location is just about where the final spike was driven as crews from the east met crews from the west to complete the Los Angeles to Salt Lake line that was responsible for Las Vegas's creation on January 30th 1909. A historical marker stands nearby. |
